Ovipositor length as a function of pronotal width in G. rubens (solid symbols) and its close relative, G. texensis (open symbols). Identification was based on the songs of brothers (triangles) or the locality (circles). (G. rubens and G. texensis occur without the other species at the eastern and western extremes of their ranges respectively.)
